What is a Next.js / Nuxt SaaS starter kit?
A SaaS starter kit is a codebase based on the framework of your choice that includes all the common functionality and tools you need to build a Saas / web app. It helps you to get started quickly and saves you a lot of time and headache when building a SaaS application.
What is the difference between a Next.js / Nuxt starter kit, a Next.js / Nuxt boilerplate and a Next.js / Nuxt starter template?
The terms "starter kit", "boilerplate" and "template" are often used interchangeably. In the context of supastarter, we use the term "starter kit" because it includes a lot more than just the boilerplate code like the extensive documentation, our community of 1200+ members, a discord server, a blog with tutorials and guides, a dedicated support channel and more.
Do I need to be an experienced developer or can I vibe-code with supastarter?
supastarter is a great choice for both experienced and vibe coders/agentic engineers. It comes with all development tools set up out of the box, so you can focus on building your product rather than configuring your environment. We also include an extensive AGENTS.md file that makes coding with agentic tools like Cursor or Claude Code very simple—you can effectively vibe-code without requiring deep coding knowledge.
How is supastarter different from other starter kits or boilerplates?
supastarter is a full-featured starter kit that includes all the common functionality and tools you need to build a SaaS app. Compared to other starter kits, supastarter is not only meant for building fast MVPs, but giving you a starting point that enables you to build a production-ready and scalable SaaS. How do I get access to the boilerplate code?
Immedietly after your purchase you will receive a link with which you can add your github account to the private supastarter github repository. From there you can clone the starter template and start building your SaaS.
Is the codebase being maintained regularly?
Of course. Since we use this project for our own client projects, we make sure all the packages are up-to-date and everything is working fine.
What do I get for my money?
supastarter is a one-time-purchase that will give you lifetime access to the github repository with the code. It also means you get free updates and support in our discord channel.
What am I allowed to do with the Next.js / Nuxt starter template?
You are allowed to build unlimited projects with it (commercial projects too). You are not allowed to resell the code or parts of it. You are also not allowed to publish the code or parts of it as a template or boilerplate. See the
license page for more details.
Can I see what I am getting before purchasing?

Next.js Documentation -
Nuxt DocumentationWhy should I pay for supastarter when there are free open-source alternatives?
Free templates and boilerplates typically give you a basic starting point that still requires days or weeks of work to wire up authentication, payments, emails, team management, and all the other pieces a real SaaS needs. With supastarter you get a battle-tested, production-ready codebase with all of that already integrated, plus extensive documentation, a community of 1200+ members, and dedicated support. The time you save in the first week alone far outweighs the cost of the purchase.
How quickly can I launch my first project with supastarter?
Most users have a fully working app deployed within a few hours — not days or weeks. The starter kit comes with everything pre-configured: authentication, payments, database, emails, and more. You just clone the repo, set your environment variables, and start building your product right away.
I'm a solo founder — is supastarter overkill for my project?
Not at all. supastarter is designed to scale with you. It works great for a quick MVP and grows with your business as you add users and features. The modular architecture means you only use what you need — you can start simple and enable more functionality as your project evolves.
What if I get stuck — what kind of support do I get?
You get access to our Discord community of 1200+ members where you can ask questions, share ideas, and get help from other developers and the supastarter team directly. We also have extensive documentation, blog tutorials, and a dedicated support channel for paying customers.
Do I need to pay for any third-party services to use supastarter?
You can get started at zero additional cost. All the services supastarter integrates with — like Supabase, Vercel, and Stripe — offer generous free tiers that are more than enough for development and early-stage products. You only start paying for third-party services as your app grows and you need more resources.
Will supastarter still be maintained a year from now?
Absolutely. We use supastarter for our own client projects, so keeping it up-to-date is a business priority — not a side project. The codebase receives regular updates with new features, security patches, and dependency upgrades. We have been actively maintaining it for over two years and the community is growing every month.
Can I switch out parts I don't like, such as the database, auth, or payment provider?
Yes. supastarter is built with a modular architecture, so you are not locked into any specific provider. You can swap out the database, authentication, payment processor, email service, or any other integration without having to rewrite your entire app.
I already started building my app — is it too late to use supastarter?
It depends on how far along you are. If you are still in the early stages, it is usually faster to move your business logic into supastarter than to keep building everything from scratch. Many customers have done exactly that and saved weeks of work. If you are unsure, reach out to us and we can help you evaluate whether it makes sense for your situation.
How many people have shipped real products with supastarter?
Thousands of developers and founders have used supastarter to build and ship real SaaS products. Our community includes solo indie hackers, small startups, and agencies — many of whom have launched profitable businesses on top of the starter kit. Check out our
showcase to see some of them.
Is my purchase a one-time payment or will there be recurring charges?
supastarter is a one-time purchase with no recurring fees, no hidden upsells, and no subscription. You pay once and get lifetime access to the codebase, all future updates, and community support — forever.
