supastarter news & udpates - Storage, avatars, admin UI, new versions

A wonderful good morning from the supastarter headquarters. We are excited to share some great news and feature updates with you today!

👨🏼‍💻 Admin UI & user impersonation

Last week we released new features for administrators of supastarter applications that allow you to manage the users of the application from UI. It also enables you to impersonate users for easier debugging and support.

💽 Storage providers

supastarter now also comes with the ability to store files with external storage providers out-of-the-box. We support Supabase Storage and all S3-compatible storage services (like AWS S3 or Cloudflare R2).

🏞️ Avatars & account deletion for users and teams

Based on the new storage feature, we added avatar uploads for users and teams to make the UI more personal and also as a good example of how to store files from your application. Additionally you can now delete a team or your user account directly from the UI.

🧹 Maintenance and updates

To keep our starter kits up with the latest tech, we are of course actively maintaining and updating our code bases. In this context, we recently migrated to Lucia Auth v3 and tRPC v11 and are keeping all dependencies up to the latest stable versions.

👀 New supastarter versions on the horizon

Besides all the new features, we are working on new starter kits for Sveltekit and Angular to bring the powerful features of supastarter to even more frameworks and developers.

We are also evaluating what's the best way to add a mobile app starter to the ecosystem and hope to provide you with more information later this year!
